Abstract A conservation effort to preserve and protect the natural open space in the Boise Foothills by raising money through a two-year property tax known as the Foothills Serial Levy. The Levy was passed by 59% of Boise voters on May 22, 2001, raising $10 million for conservation efforts. The two-year levy in property taxes for commercial, residential, and industrial property was implemented in 2002 and 2003.
